NTN Canada Announces New Director of Sales - OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers)

NTN is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Schmidts to the senior leadership role of Director of Sales, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), effective December 1, 2023. As Director of Sales, Mr. Schmidts will be responsible for the continued success of the NTN brand across OEM segments. Mr. Schmidts brings more than 25 years of experience in sales and business development. He has successfully executed growth strategies while holding roles of progressive responsibility and scope at NTN Canada and has demonstrated his ability as an effective builder within the NTN organization.

Phil will have full P&L responsibility for the OEM Business Unit, with a focus on delivering NTN’s Ultimate Bearing Experience (UBE) vision to key industrial growth market segments in the Agriculture, Linear-Automation, Transportation, Railroad, and Wind–Energy markets.

Phil’s vision, diligence and experience, combined with his knowledge of NTN’s customers’ processes and market opportunities, make him an ideal leader for the company’s team of OEM Territory Managers in Canada. Phil’s direct reports will include Glen Keats, Kelly Lusk, Hiromu Asano, Bassirou Samb along with an OEM industry specialist that will be recruited as part of NTN’s FY2024-2026 mid term plan. Based in Vancouver BC, Phil will support his team and customer bases across Canada. His deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and sales strategies will undoubtedly contribute to the sales team’s effectiveness and efficiency.
