Introduction
NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada Ltd. is committed to providing goods, services and employment in a manner that individuals with disabilities may access. Our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan is an Appendix to our Integrated Accessibility Standards Policy. NTN’s Integrated Accessibility Standard’s Policy outlines our strategy to prevent and remove barriers to accessibility for individuals with disabilities and describes how NTN meets all applicable legal and regulatory requirements that align with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The Multi Year Accessibility Plan outlines how we remove and prevent accessibility barriers for our customers and employees, and the strategies planned to further improve opportunities for accessibility. This current Multi Year Accessibility Plan covers the five-year period from 2020 to 2025.

NTN welcomes feedback in relation to our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, in the format most convenient to the person providing the feedback. Where this plan specifies that documents, alternative formats or communication supports are available upon request, such requests can be directed to hr@ntn.ca

Customer Service
NTN is committed to providing our customers with the highest levels of customer service. Any customer or member of the public who wishes to provide feedback, including complaints, on how we provide goods and services to people with disabilities may do so by submitting their feedback on NTN’s accessibility services via email to hr@ntn.ca. To address potential barriers that may prevent individuals from being able to provide feedback, NTN’s Integrated Accessibility Standards Policy will be made available to customers in accessible formats upon request.

Communication
NTN launched its Canadian website in 2019. During development, accessibility features were incorporated into the website to provide ease of access to the website for individuals with disabilities. NTN is continuously working towards developing new webpages and web content on our website in conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level A. Further, we also take steps to make sure all publicly available information is made accessible upon request.

Employment
NTN is committed to removing possible barriers to employment for individuals with disabilities. Our plan is to improve the quality of the recruitment strategy and to ensure accessibility considerations are incorporated into every aspect of our recruitment process. Our Human Resource Managers act as the single point of contact for those applicants who interview for and complete required aptitude testing for available positions. The Human Resource Manager at each facility is responsible for ensuring requests for accommodation throughout the interview and testing process are met and for ensuring that the recruitment strategy is inclusive throughout the Organization.

Training
NTN is committed to providing information and training to all employees during the onboarding process that meets the requirements of the regulatory authority’s accessibility laws and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it applies to people with disabilities. NTN will:

  • Improve the quality of the training by requiring all employees to complete the online training available from https://www.aoda.ca/
  • Document the names of employees who have attended the training and the date of the training.

Statement of commitment
NTN is committed to treating all people in a way that maintains their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We’re committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, by preventing and removing barriers.
