Senior Financial Analyst

NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada Limited has two operating divisions (the Distribution Division and the Manufacturing Division). We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for presenting timely and accurate reporting and analysis of business performance to various business partners. The Distribution Division is also the head-office location for the company and is located in Mississauga. The Senior Financial Analyst’s home base is at this location. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance for NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada Limited. Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with senior management on business plan, forecast and analysis of financial results. This position will be responsible for presenting timely and accurate reporting and analysis of business performance to various business partners. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in evaluating and understanding financial opportunities with key business partners and provide analytics to support business decisions to help maximize profitability. This role requires expertise in financial modelling, analytics and strong communication.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in preparation of various financial statements and reports.
Produce detailed financial analysis and reporting of Actual versus Plan for the Distribution Division.
Provide reporting and support to Department Managers for cost centre budgets and analysis of Actual versus Plan.
Assist in preparation of the Distribution Division financial budget (P&L, BS and Cash Flow) twice per year. Updated forecasts of revised plans as required. Improve business profitability by providing timely P&L analysis and identifying areas of improvements\concerns.
Produce and present monthly results, supporting Executive presentations and reporting. Develop reporting to assist the business in making decisions to continue to drive operating profit growth. Establish and maintain KPIs/ scorecard for the business.
Ensure consistency in financial reporting across categories. Work on key financial projects that drive value across NTN.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
High proficiency and advanced skills for Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communications skills.
Strong analytical abilities.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and goal oriented.
Ability to multi-task and handle high pressure situations.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Education and Professional Experience:

7-10 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role.
CPA, CA, CMA or CGA in good standing required.
Strong sales, operations and general business acumen.
Excellent and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with JD Edwards One World system would be an asset.
