Congratulations to our Earth Day Winners

1 June 2021 - Toronto - Corporate - Events

EarthDay Winners

For over fifty years, people across the world have celebrated Earth Day on the 22nd of April, promoting the importance of environmental awareness and our role in protecting the planet. For Earth Day 2021, NTN Canada took a different approach due to the stay-at-home order that was in place in Ontario. Instead of tree planting or neighbourhood clean-ups undertaken in previous years, our earth-conscious NTN employees (and their families) created arts and crafts as part of our NTN Earth Day Poster Contest.

The poster contest provided an exciting opportunity for NTN employees and their families to commemorate Earth Day in a meaningful way by expressing their creative solutions to environmental issues.

A total of 8 submissions were received showcasing the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling through artistic educational posters.

NTN Canada thanks everyone for their artwork submission with special recognition to Marcus Wickert, Director of Engineering, for his “Protect Yourself, Protect Our Earth” poster. This submission will be repurposed into a learning tool to increase the organization’s recycling knowledge and to remind everyone how to dispose of their Personal Protective Equipment. The following winners were selected based on originality, message impact and visual appeal:

The art contest is yet another initiative promoting NTN Group’s holistic adoption of ESG into our internal and external operations.
