An update from NTN Canada regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic

Dear Industry Partner,

Please be advised that NTN Canada's workplace premises are not exempt from the full closure requirements of the Region of Peel Class Order for Workplaces with COVID-19 made pursuant to section 22(5.0.1) of the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want to assure you of our impeccable safety record at NTN Canada and of our commitment to remain vigilant to ensure safety protocols continue to be followed in our facilities.

Furthermore, we would like to encourage you to consult with your NTN representative to place orders for safety stock in the event of a shortage caused by a possible shutdown of our Mississauga manufacturing plant and distribution warehouse. This action may be required to comply with Peel Region’s "Section 22 Order on workplaces" directing all businesses with five or more cases of COVID-19 to close for 10 days.

Currently our factory and distribution warehouse remains open, and the health and safety of our employees, their families and our customers remains our highest priority.

NTN Canada is following the latest directives as prescribed by both the Provincial and Federal Governments. We have implemented a work-from-home policy for those employees able to perform their work from home, while employees managing essential duties at NTN’s worksites are implementing best practices for safety and health. We’ve made significant process changes to make sure we’re keeping our team safe throughout each day, including social distancing measures, temperature testing, face coverings with appropriate personal protective equipment, screening between employee stations, prohibiting visitors, and enhanced cleaning and sanitizing across every site. In addition, we will begin piloting rapid COVID-19 testing within the next few weeks.

We are grateful for your loyalty and are continuing to strive to exceed your expectations. We remain committed to working together with the rest of our industry to share knowledge and develop best practices, and continue to consult with health experts and regulators to ensure that we are doing the best possible job in combatting the spread of this disease.

Sincerely,

Signature
